Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni launched CSK’s New Jersey on Wednesday. Chennai Super Kings shared videos of New Jersey released by Dhoni on their Twitter handle. Apart from yellow, camouflage of Indian Army has also been added to CSK’s New Jersey. Army camouflage has found a place on the shoulders of the jersey.
For the first time since 2008, the Chennai Super Kings jersey has been redesigned. There are three stars of the franchise on this jersey which means Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL title three times.
The camouflage of the army on the shoulders of CSK’s jersey means the Chennai Super Kings team has set high standards of consistency and good play, the franchise said in a statement. The three stars on the jersey mean CSK has won the IPL title three times. Chennai Super Kings had won the IPL finals in 2010, 2011 and 2018.
It is worth noting that MS Dhoni has been the captain of the Chennai Super Kings since the first edition of the IPL. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army. In the year 2019, Dhoni had trained with the Parachute Regiment.
Chennai Super Kings have reached the playoffs of 10 IPLs. Also CSK has knocked in the final 8 times. Chennai Super Kings did not reach the play-offs for the first time in the IPL played in the United Arab Emirates last year. IPL 2021 will start from April 9. On April 10, Chennai Super Kings will play their first match against Delhi Capitals.
