Russia’s TV channel Russia Today has been accused of spying in Germany

Team Chabuk-International Desk: Russia’s TV channel Russia Today (RT) has been accused of spying in Germany. The German newspaper Bild has published a detailed report on this. Experts have said that in many circles there was a doubt about the activities of RT. After the latest news of the build, now an atmosphere can be created against this channel and its website across Europe.

According to Bild’s report, when Russian President Vladimir Putin’s anti-leader Alexei Navalny was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Berlin, RT sent two of his correspondents to spy on him. Bild has based the leaked conversation on the Telegram app as the basis of its report. In this conversation, a former RT employee has been told that he had to spy on his channel.

After publishing this report, RT has said that it is exploring the possibility of legal action against Bild. RT has retaliated that reporter Julian Roepke, who broke the news, was in the past related to a portal of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) whose job was to spread false information. The report of the build was denied in a program on the RT channel. It claimed that nothing has been revealed from what has been written in the report of Build. Rather, it is evident from this that the reporters only did their work.

In this program called Going Underground, it was said that reporters always talk to their sources and try to get special news. For this, they ask more and more questions. The difference in asking RT questions is that they are related to geopolitical events and power struggles, which are related to the life and death of the earth.

The news of the build claimed that the RT was spied on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Accordingly, RT’s employee Daniel Lang has said that he was asked to closely monitor Navalny’s news. Once he was asked to go to the clinic where Navalny was undergoing treatment. Lang said- ‘I don’t know if there was a spy, but I felt that I was working as an agent.’ These comments made in the Telegram chat are part of Bild’s own story.

On the other hand RT has launched a campaign against Bild. Their program stated that Bild is a dubious newspaper with a long history of skeptical and spicy reporting. The RT quoted figures from the German Press Council that between 2015 and 2020, the council rebuked Bild 72 times. No other publication was so reprimanded.

RT’s Germany-based editor-in-chief Dinara Toktosunova has said that RT will take the build to court. RT has said that it is important to consider Bild’s relationship with NATO. All these will be discussed during the legal proceedings. This will prove to be an interesting development for the readers of Build.
