ICC women’s ODI rankings, Poonam Raut has reached the top 20

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: India’s Poonam Raut, who performed brilliantly in the current ODI series against South Africa, has reached the top 20 in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) latest women’s ODI rankings. Poonam has moved up eight places to 18th position. Poonam has played innings of 62, 77 and 104 * in the last three matches.

Apart from Poonam, opener Smriti Mandhana is the top Indian in the rankings with seventh position while captain Mithali Raj is in ninth position. Meanwhile, vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur has moved up two places to 15th in the list of batswomen while she has moved up three places to 49th in the list of bowlers.

Left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gaikwad, who has taken five wickets in three matches of the series, has moved up four places to 18th position in the bowlers’ list. Fast bowler Mansi Joshi has moved up from 69th to 64th position. South Africa opener Lizzie Lee, who is in a great rhythm in the series against India, has moved up seven places to the first position in the rankings.

Lee, who removed England opener Tammy Beaumont from the top spot in the rankings, played four, unbeaten 132 and 69 in three matches during this (last week). She is the first South African to reach the top of the list of batswomen in the women’s ODI rankings. South Africa’s Ayabonga Khaka has moved up one place to ninth in the list of bowlers.
