Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: Rajasthan Royals have suffered a major blow in the early stages of the tournament. The team’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the entire IPL 2021 season due to injury.
He has been ruled out of the 14th season of IPL due to a broken finger in the match against Punjab Kings. At the moment, Stokes will remain in India and will be supervised by the England medical team.
Stokes was injured in an attempt to catch Chris Gayle during the match against Punjab Kings on Monday. In this match, he had initially missed a catch of Gayle, so he tried hard.
He raced from Long On and dived for a catch. Shortly afterwards, he appeared in pain. After that injury, he did not bowl more than one over in the match and did not even bat. In this match, his team Rajasthan Royals lost by 4 runs.
The hand of this England all-rounder will have an X-ray in Mumbai on Thursday to find out the seriousness of the injury. After that, recovery of his injury will be planned.
