Today Is the fifth and final match of T20 series

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: Overwhelmed by the pressure from England, India are confident of winning the fifth and final T20 International cricket match here on Saturday to make a name for themselves in the series and prepare their team for the World Cup. And will try to take strong steps forward.

India has so far adopted a fearless attitude in the series and whatever the outcome of the fifth match, its preparations for the World Cup seem to be moving in the right direction.

The World Cup is to be played in India at the end of this year. While Kishan and Suryakumar made a big impact in their first series, Haryana all-rounder Rahul Tewatia is the only player in the team who has not got a chance to make his debut. On Saturday, however, he may get a chance to play his first international match. Kohli will be satisfied that India made a good score and managed to defend it despite the dew effect at night. This was the first occasion in the series while the team batting first won.

Kohli became a fan of the Suryakumar

The team led by Virat Kohli had failed to overcome all the conditions before but now they have got trump cards in the form of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav. Both of them have provided new options to the team by playing good innings. Kohli was also surprised by Suryakumar’s innings played on Thursday. He said, it was not easy to play such an innings by coming down to number three in his first match. This batsman also got a place in the ODI team after this.

Rahul’s form is worrisome

Another positive aspect of this series for India was the contribution of Hardik Pandya in bowling. On Thursday, he took two wickets for just 16 runs in four overs. Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, who was selected to replace Yujvendra Chahal, also bowled well while Washington could not leave a good impression. KL Rahul’s form in the top order is a matter of concern for India. He scored 01, 00 and 00 in the first three matches and could not go beyond 14 runs in the fourth match.

Archer and Wood

England will also be looking for continuity in the performances of Jose Butler and world number one batsman Dawid Malan. Fast bowlers Joffra Archer and Mark Wood made an impact but did not get enough support from Chris Jordan who scored the most runs in the fourth T20. But in the smallest format of cricket, England’s eyes are on winning the series in the battle for supremacy to give concrete form to their preparations for the World Cup.

The teams are

India

Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Yujvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Akshar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, Rahul Chahar, Rahul Tewatia, Ishan Kishan.
