President Putin signed the law to stay in power in Russia till 2036

Team Chabuk-International Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday gave final approval to a law that would allow him to remain in office for two more terms. Once the rule is approved, Putin is expected to remain in power in Russia until 2036. Explain that the term of office of the President in Russia is six years.

Vladimir Putin, 68, has been in power in Russia for more than two decades. Putin signed the law on Monday, according to a copy of the government’s legal information portal. With the permission of this law, he will now be able to stand in the next elections after the completion of his current term in 2024.

The constitutional vote on July 1 last year included a provision that would allow Putin to run for president twice more. Will consider whether he has to run for the presidency again.

The draft law was made following the constitutional amendments adopted in a nationwide referendum held in July 2020.

Under one of 206 constitutional amendments, the head of the country sitting on the post can take the post of president two more times without following the previous conditions. After approving the amendment by the Upper House, Putin has the facility to resume his presidency in 2024 and then to get 2 more tenures by 2036.
