The Chabuk-Sports Desk: The England Cricket Board has announced its 14-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against India. The ECB announced the names of the players on Sunday. Jake Ball, Chris Jordan and Dawid Malan, who were part of England’s T20 squad, will also be in India as an alternative to the ODI squad. Meanwhile, England’s star fast bowler Joffra Archer will not be a part of the ODI series and will return to London due to an elbow injury.
In fact, Joffra Archer did not play in the fourth Test due to an elbow injury. Joffra returned to the T20 series when he got some relief from the injury. In the fourth match played in Ahmadabad, Joffra bowled the best of his T20 career and took 4 wickets for 33 runs. But after the fourth T20 match, he had said that he did not want to take more risks with it. Archer will now return to London for treatment and work on his fitness there.
Joffra Archer will also miss the opening matches of the IPL due to an elbow injury. He is an important part of the Rajasthan Royals team in the Indian Premier League.
