Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: The Pakistan Cricket Board said on Monday that star all-rounder Shahid Afridi will not be able to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to a back injury. Actually, Afridi felt lower back pain while training in Karachi. The doctor asked to rest completely after the examination. Afridi said in the statement, “Unfortunately I have been advised rest and I cannot go with my team Multan Sultans.”
Pakistan’s Premier domestic T20 league will be restored in Abu Dhabi next month, which was postponed in March as several players and support staff in the six franchises were found to be covid-19 positive.
Afridi represented Multan Sultans in four of the five matches of the league in Karachi, in which he scored just three runs in two innings and took two wickets in 15 over’s.
Naseem Shah suspended from PSL
On the other hand, fast bowler Naseem Shah has been suspended from PSL due to violation of Corona protocol by Pakistan Cricket Board. In fact, 18-year-old Shah arrived at a hotel in Lahore, where the team was staying. During this period, Shah had an old corona negative report. For this reason, he was suspended. According to the protocol, the corona negative report should not be older than 48 hours.
