Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not in favor of hosting the Asia Cup this year. this was informed by PCB president Ehsan Mani on Saturday. Ehsan Mani informed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners that their board is not in favor of hosting this tournament this year.
A PCB source said Mani had told PSL owners during a virtual meeting on Thursday that the remaining matches of the sixth season of PSL would be completed in June.
PCB president Mani made it clear that the tournament is unlikely to be held this year, the source said. It will be postponed till 2023 due to other commitments of the participating teams.
However, the PCB president told the franchise owners that the new dates for the Asia Cup would be decided at the next meeting of the Asian Cricket Council. PSL was postponed earlier this month because of Corona.
