Shreyas Iyer could be out of half the IPL

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: Team India’s smoky batsman Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series between India and England. He injured his shoulder while fielding during the first ODI match played in Pune. After which he walked off the field.

The injury to his shoulder is serious and it is believed that it will take time for Shreyas to fully recover. If that happens then Shreyas Iyer could be out of half the IPL. Shreyas Iyer is the captain of IPL team Delhi Capitals.

Shreyas Iyer was injured during the eighth over of England’s innings. Shardul Thakur used to throw the eighth over of England’s innings on behalf of Team India. Meanwhile, England batsman Johnny Bairstow made a contract shot on Thakur’s ball. To stop this, Shreyas dived while throwing his whole body.

After this he was seen doing it and sat down holding his shoulder. Other players of the team including captain Virat Kohli also went to him. In this case, he was taken off the field.

Shreyas left shoulder bone slipped during fielding, the BCCI said in its medical report. He has been taken for a scan and he will no longer play further in this match.

In the recent T20 series against England, Shreyas Iyer had scored a lot of runs while batting well. Due to his brilliant performance, India had defeated England 3-2 in the T20 series.

In the ODI match played in Pune, Team India’s star batsman Rohit Sharma was also injured. Mark Wood missed his attempt to play a fast ball and the ball went to Rohit’s elbow. After this Rohit did not come to field.
