The situation is deteriorating so much that on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states. Fearing a second wave of Corona in the country, the Prime Minister appealed to the states to halt the transition to the fast-growing Corona. After this, precautionary measures were announced in many states.
Due to Corona virus, gyms, sports clubs, gaming zones will be closed in Ahmedabad from Thursday. At the same time, night curfew has been announced from March 17 in Bhopal and Indore of Madhya Pradesh. Markets will remain closed in eight cities of Madhya Pradesh from 10 am to 6 am. After Ghaziabad in UP, now Section 144 will continue to be applicable in Noida also till April 30. after 102 days in the country, the maximum number of 35,886 cases of corona were reported on Wednesday. Of these, Maharashtra was the most affected, accounting for around 64 per cent of the cases across the country.
More than 23 thousand patients in Maharashtra
A record 23,179 patients a day were found in Maharashtra on Wednesday, which is the highest in the last six months. In Pune, 4,745 new cases of corona were found in the last 24 hours and 15 patients have died. On September 17, 24,619 covid-19 positive cases were found in Maharashtra. There were 84 deaths due to covid in Maharashtra on Wednesday. In Maharashtra, total cases increased by 30 percent on Wednesday compared to Tuesday. After this, the total number of corona cases has increased to 23,70,507.
Between March 1 and March 17, the daily cases of corona in the state have increased fourfold. Even daily cases in many cities of Maharashtra are more than the total cases of Punjab, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
Nagpur alone saw 2,698 cases on Wednesday, 2,039 in Punjab, 1,122 in Gujarat, 2,098 in Kerala and 1,275 in Karnataka. For the first time in Nagpur, there were more infections than Mumbai in one day. There were 2,377 cases in Mumbai on Wednesday. The new case of covid-19 in Mumbai has increased threefold since the first week of March. On March 1, 855 cases were found.
17 states and union territories most patient after January
Apart from Maharashtra, 17 states and union territories have received the highest number of patients since January on Wednesday. 2,039 in Punjab (highest after 23 September), 1,275 in Karnataka (highest after 9 December), 1,122 in Gujarat (highest after 16 December), 945 in Tamil Nadu (highest after 29 December), Chhattisgarh 887 (highest after 9 January), 832 in Madhya Pradesh (highest after 31 December), 555 in Haryana (highest after 20 December), 536 in Delhi (highest after 6 January),
At the same time, 54 new cases were found in Lucknow on Wednesday. This is the first time since 15 January that the number of infected people has crossed 50 in a single day.
Delhi has the third highest number of cases
This year, for the third time, the maximum number of cases have been reported in Delhi in one day due to Corona virus. For the first time after 6 January, 536 corona patients have been found in the capital in a day. More than 500 cases have been received four times since January 1. 585 corona-infected patients have been found on 1 January, 654 on 6 January and 519 on 9 January. There were 534 patients in the last one day.
