Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: A bad news has come to light for Sunrisers Hyderabad between IPL 2021. The bowling coach of the team and legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan was admitted to the hospital after a sudden illness. Muralitharan, present in Chennai, underwent angioplasty at the hospital. According to the information, he was admitted to the hospital after complaining of sudden chest pain.
According to Cricinfo, a stent has been installed at the Apollo Hospital to eliminate obstruction in his arteries. At the moment, his health is stable and he will join the team soon after recovering. However, no official statement has yet been released by his franchise Sunrisers in this entire matter.
Muralitharan is the bowling coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad since IPL 2015. It was during his tenure that the Sunrisers won the IPL title in 2016.
Talk about Muralitharan’s cricketing career, he is the only bowler to take 800 wickets in Test cricket. He has 800 wickets from 133 Tests. At the same time, Murali has taken 534 wickets in 350 matches of ODI cricket. With this, Murali has taken 13 wickets in 12 T20 Internationals.
