India attacked Pakistan on the pretext of UN chief’s report
India on Wednesday attacked Pakistan through UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ 12th report on global terrorism.
India said at the UN Security Council (UNSC) meeting that the UN Chief’s report based on ISIS should have also included the terrorist activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which were ‘safe’ for terrorists in Pakistan. They plot the attack with ‘surakshit Jannat’.
The UNSC accepted the 12th report of the UN Secretary General in a meeting held on the subject of ‘threat to international peace and security due to terrorist acts’ in which ISIL (DAIS) has been described as a threat to international peace and security.
Shihab is the head of IS operations in India
The UN Chief’s report states that between 1000 and 220 combatants of IS in Iraq and Levant-Khorasan (ISIL-K) in Afghanistan are active in various provinces and will continue to target Kabul and provincial capitals in future.
Shihab al-Muhajir, who was announced the new leader of the group in June 2020, is the head of ISIL’s operations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Central Asia.
The report also stated that Shihab was earlier associated with the Haqqani network and has also maintained a family relationship with them. Shihab has also previously served as an al-Qaeda commander in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.
