Who to play for India now is a big headache

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: The five-match T20 series between India and England is starting from March 12, tomorrow. Both the teams will try to test their preparations for the T20 World Cup through this series. There is not much confusion in England regarding the selection of players in the playing XI but the situation with the Indian team is completely different.

There are currently 19 players in the Indian squad, 16 of whom are ready to play and three players are not contenders due to fitness and yo-yo tests. Overall, for the first T20, Team India has to select the last 11 out of 16 players. It also has at least two contenders from almost every order and area. In this case, let us know what could happen in the first match of Team India’s playing XI.

Rohit Sharma

Team Indias vice-captain Rohit Sharma will be seen starting the innings once again. Rohit had a brilliant performance in the recently concluded Test series against England. He is in great form at the moment and is a strong player in T20. He is the only player to score four centuries in international T20.

Shikhar Dhawan / KL Rahul

There are now two contenders for the partner who started the innings with Rohit. At the other end, there is a clash between KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan for his partner. Both players are in form and experienced. But after Dhawan’s return, now only one of the two will be able to get a place. At the moment, it is hoped that the team management can come down with Dhawan.

Virat Kohli (captain)

Virat Kohli, the captain of Team India and the highest run scorer in T20 Internationals, will bat at his old place. He will once again take charge of the middle order and will go down to bat at number three.

Shreyas Iyer

Right-handed batsman Shreyas Iyer has done brilliantly in the last several matches and has strengthened the middle order. He also batted well and scored centuries in the recent Vijay Hazare Trophy. Given their experience and form, the team management can give him a chance at number four once again.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav, who has done well in domestic cricket and IPL, may get a chance to make his debut in the first match. The art of handling the team in difficult situations as well as collecting fast runs strengthens their claim. In the recent Vijay Hazare Trophy too, Suryakumar had batted hard and played many match winning innings for Mumbai.

Hardik Pandya

Team India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is ready to enter the field once again. Hardik, who was the man of the series in the T20 series against Australia, will play an international match in two months. Apart from batting vigorously, he can also be seen bowling this time. Pandya will try to collect fast runs in the last overs in the middle order.

Rishabh Pant

Indian team’s star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has regained his lost form. After batting tremendously in the Test series against England, he was selected in the T20 team and now it is almost certain that he will play.

Shardul Thakur

Mumbai fast bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur may get a chance here. Given his current form and all-round play in the last few matches, the team may select him in the playing XI. Shardul also played in the T20 series against Australia. He also took wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with a recent half-century innings.

Washington Sundar / Akshar Patel

As a spin all-rounder, there is a rivalry between Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel. Both the players had shown great play in the Test series against England. While Akshar had impressed with the bowling, Sundar had left an impression in batting. Both the players have good T20 experience. In such a case, the team management will give a chance to only one, in which Sundar’s claim is strong at the moment.

Yujvendra Chahal

The team’s veteran and star spinner Yujvendra Chahal is almost certain to play. Chahal is able to take wickets in any situation. He was also part of the T20 series on the Australia tour and did well for the team.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the star fast bowler of the Indian team and the most experienced player of bowling attack, has recovered from injury. Team management can go with him because of their exact line length and ability to swing with the yorker in death overs. In the absence of Bumrah and Shami, the Indian bowling attack could be in his hands.
