Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: In the first T20 match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmadabad, Team India suffered a crushing defeat by 8 wickets. Captain Virat Kohli has acknowledged the team’s failure after the defeat. Virat Kohli says that our batsmen did not understand the way to bat on this pitch.
Virat says his day on the Ahmadabad pitch was not good. Kohli said, “We didn’t know what we had to do on that pitch. Our shots lacked placement and we had to get over it. We have to admit our mistakes. We have to improve. We didn’t have a good day on the pitch.”
Shreyash Iyer’s batting was superb
Virat Kohli highly praised Shreyash Iyer. The captain said, “It was like a bad start for us. I think Shreya’s innings was an example of how we have to use the depth of the crease and face the bounce. He play good in this wicket. While the rest of the batsmen did not manage to do so.”
England had decided to bowl after winning the toss in the first T20. England bowled brilliantly and stopped India at 124 runs. Not only that, England achieved this goal in just 15.3 over’s through their good batting.
With this victory, England has managed to take a 1-0 lead in the series of five T-20 matches. The next match of the series between India and England will be played on March 14.
