Team Chabuk-National Desk: The second wave of corona virus is proving fatal and is making a record of the most deaths with every day. Corona infects have the highest number of deaths in a single day since the onset of the epidemic last year. For the first time in the country more than two thousand people have died due to corona in one day. With this, the number of active patients has also increased drastically.
During this period, 2,94,115 new infections were detected. This is also the highest number of infects found in a day in the country. With this, the total number of infected people died due to the epidemic has increased to 1,82,570, while the total number of people infected so far is 1,56,09,004. The number of under-treated patients in the country reached 21,50,119. This is 13.8 percent of the total number of infected people.
Recovery rate reached 85 percent
The recovery rate of corona infected people is also falling continuously. It is now 85 percent. According to the data, the number of people recovering from the virus has increased to 1,32,69,863. Although the death rate from Corona has dropped to 1.20 percent nationally, it is 1.5 percent in Maharashtra and 1.6 percent in West Bengal.
77 percent deaths in these eight states
77 percent of the deaths occurred in only eight states. Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths of 519 people in 24 hours in the country. After this, 277 people died in Delhi, 191 in Chhattisgarh, 162 in UP, Gujarat 121, 149 in Karnataka, 60 in Punjab and 77 in Madhya Pradesh. A total of 1556 deaths in these eight states accounted for 77.02 percent of the total of 2020 deaths.
60 percent infected in six states
In six states, 60 percent of infections have been reported. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 62,097 new infections during this period. This was followed by 29574 in Uttar Pradesh, 28395 in Delhi, 21794 in Karnataka, 19577 in Kerala and 15625 new corona patients in Chhattisgarh.

In the last 11 days, there are twice as many cases of daily infections. On April 9, where 1.31 lakh people were found infected during the day, on April 20, 2.73 lakh people were found infected. After 1761 and deaths, many states have opted to implement partial or full lockdown.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the second wave of Corona has come as a storm. However, he also advised the states to use lockdown as the last option for combating Corona. Addressing the nation, he ruled out the possibility of a nationwide lockdown and advised the states to avoid it as well.
