IPL 2021 to start in India from April 9

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk : The BCCI announced the schedule for the 14th season of the IPL on Sunday. With this, it was also decided that the IPL 2021 will be held in India only. Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata have been selected for the Indian Premier League to be held in the country after almost two years.

The IPL season will begin in Chennai from April 9, where defending champions Mumbai Indians will face the Royal Challengers team. While the final match will be held on May 30 in Ahmadabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium (Narendra Modi Stadium). Not only this, all play-off matches of the tournament will also be played in this ground.

According to the media advisory issued by the BCCI, during the league stage, each team will compete in four places. Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore will host ten matches each in 56 league matches, while eight matches will be played in Ahmadabad and Delhi.

This time the biggest feature of the IPL will be that all the matches will be played in neutral places and no team will play matches in their home. All teams will play matches at four of the six venues during the league stage.

A total of 11 double headers (two bouts a day) will be played in the tournament. The afternoon matches will start at 3:30 while the evening matches will be played from 7:30.

The biggest thing is that this time the tournament will be played in the empty stadiums without the spectators like the previous season and a decision will be taken later on the entry of the fans.
