Team Chabuk-Sports Desk : The Indian team announced the squad for the upcoming T20 series against England on Saturday. There were many changes in the team and there were many players who have consistently excelled in the domestic series. Among them, young wicket keeper Ishan Kishan got an immediate reward for his banging innings played in the first match of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Born in Patna, Bihar, 22-year-old Ishan had been performing brilliantly for a long time, but in the first match of the Vijay Hazare ODI tournament on Saturday, he played a stormy innings. He was included in the team in place of Sanju Samson while Rishabh Pant also returned.
Ishan played a fiery innings of 173 runs in just 94 balls against the host Madhya Pradesh at Holkar Stadium in Indore. During this time, 11 skyscraper sixes and 19 fours came out of his bat. On the strength of Ishan’s captaincy innings, Jharkhand scored 422/9 in the allotted 50 over’s. the entire Madhya Pradesh team was reduced to 98 runs in 18.4 over’s and suffered a humiliating defeat by a margin of 324 runs.
In the match against Madhya Pradesh, Ishan showed his aggressive stance from the first over. He completed his half century in 40 balls and then in 74 balls and then touched the figure of 150 in 86 balls. Ishan made 173 runs off just 94 balls. He scored his last 71 runs in just 20 balls.
Ishan Kishan has played 95 T20 matches so far and has scored 2372 runs with an average of 28 and a strike rate of 133. During this time he has scored two centuries and 12 fifties.
Ishan Kishan’s 13th season of IPL was also extremely brilliant. Playing for Mumbai Indians in the UAE, he scored 516 runs in 14 matches at an average of 57 and a strike rate of 145. During this time he also hit four fifties.
