Novak Djokovic makes history, wins record 9th Australian Open title

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk : Serbia’s star player Novak Djokovic has made history. He has won the Australian Open for a record 9th time. This is Djokovic’s 18th Grand Slam title. Djokovic has once again proved why he is called the world’s number one tennis player.

Djokovic won the 18th Grand Slam title of his career, defeating Daniel Medvedev 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 in the final. Throughout the match, Djokovic was well ahead of his opponent Daniel Medvedev.

Won the title for the second time in a row

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic of Serbia defeated fourth seed Daniel Medvedev of Russia in the final to win the first Grand Slam Australian Open men’s singles title for the second time in a row today. According to the tournament’s official website, AUSOpen.com, Djokovic defeated Medvedev 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets in an hour and 53 minutes.

Djokovic had previously beaten Austria’s Dominic Theme in the final of the Australian Open in 2020. This is Djokovic’s ninth Australian Open and 18th Grand Slam title of his career.
