Kumbh Mela is likely to start from February 27 in Haridwar

Team Chabuk-National Desk : The Kumbh Mela may start from February 27 in Haridwar. The state government has suggested this date during talks with the central government. So the Ministry of Health has also announced the SOP on the Kumbh Mela issue. An estimated 1 Million devotees are expected to attend the Kumbh Mela every day. However, on special occasions this number is likely to reach 5 Million.

The Kumbh Mela, to be held after 12 years, is likely to be held from February 27 to April 30. The state government has not yet made any official announcement about the Kumbh Mela. However, preparations for the Kumbh Mela are in full swing.

The royal bath of Mag Purnima will be held on February 27, Mahashivaratri on March 11, Somavati Amas on April 12, Vaishakhi on April 14, Ram Navami on April 21 and Chaitra Purnima on April 27. The Center Government has expressed the possibility that the largest crowd will gather at ‘Har Ki Pauri’ in this shahi snan.

The IMA must also cooperate

IMA help is needed to prevent the spread of corona. At the Kumbh Mela, the Medical Association of India (IMA) has to encourage doctors rather than its private practice. For this they have to conduct workshops in Rishikesh, Haridwar and nearby places so that if any person shows symptoms of corona they can immediately inform the government

Devotees coming to Kumbh Mela have to undergo RTPCR test. The Kumbh Mela administration will have to make special arrangements for this. Along with AIIMS Rishikesh, Doon Medical College, Himalayan Medical College Jollygrant, seven private labs will also have to be enlisted. So that Corona’s report can be obtained in a timely manner.

The SOP announced by the Ministry of Health also sets out the responsibilities of the people conducting the fair. The central government has made it clear that any explanation on the corona issue is not acceptable. Large crowds are not allowed to gather. Managing the crowd will be the biggest challenge. This is all that has to be done to keep the corona away at Kumbh Mela

  • In order to maintain social distance, strong arrangements have to be made by marking the Kumbh Mela area. Appropriate arrangements have to be made for thermal screening, social distance and sanitation.
  • Separate doors have to be made for entering and exiting Kumbh Mela. A help desk has to be set up at this door so that the devotees do not get in trouble.
  • Thermal screening has to be arranged at the entrance of the fair. If a person shows symptoms of corona, he will not be allowed to enter the fair.
  • A round has to be made to keep the social distance in the Kumbh Mela area.
  • Any kind of demonstration at the Kumbh Mela venue, the puja in which the crowd gathers will be closed. Any such planning will have to seek the approval of the system.
  • CCTV cameras will be installed to monitor masks and social distance rules.
  • Special arrangements have to be made for crowd management at parking lots, waiting rooms, stalls etc.
  • Planning like anchor, grain donation also has to follow the rules of social distance.

A mega hospital has to be built

The Union Health Ministry said a temporary hospital with at least 1,000 beds would have to be set up at the fair site. The hospital should be able to accommodate up to two thousand beds if required. The state government for this Can take the help of DRDO. The hospital must have a sufficient number of PPE kits, oxygen, and ventilator. A team of expert practitioners from the Kumbh Mela area for clinical management and a team of expert practitioners from AIIMS Delhi will continuously review through video conferencing.

This will also have to be arranged

The entire Kumbh Mela area has to be cleaned at least twice a day. One percent sodium hypochlorite can be used for this. A place where more hands touch. Such a place has to be cleaned daily. Toilets, hand washing and drinking water must be cleaned at least three to four times daily. Information on what to do to protect against corona in the Kumbh Mela area has to be conveyed to the devotees through various means.
