At that time, Pablo’s estimated personal wealth was estimated at US $ 25 billion, or about Rs 1825 billion today. Pablo Escobar came into the illegal business in the 1970s and became a famous mafia within a short span of time. He often distributed money to the poor through housing projects and other public activities. He was nothing short of a hero to the poor people of Medellin.
Pablo had more than 800 houses. He owned a 6500 sq ft bungalow in the US, located on Miami Beach in Florida. Not only this, he had bought the coral island named Aila Grande in the Caribbean. There was a time when Pablo controlled 80 percent of the cocaine supplied in the US.
On December 2, 1993, Pablo Escobar was killed by the Columbia Police. But before his death, he heavily influenced the police and soldiers. Pablo created a fierce panic in Colombia. It was a minor thing for him to fly a car or kill a big leader. His dream was that he would become the President of Colombia.
