“We aim to double our annual revenue by the year 2023 to maintain transparency and trust,” Jack Dorsey said. 335 million users are expected in the fourth quarter of 2023. By the end of 2020, the total number of users was 19.2 crore, which is 27 per cent more than the year 2019.
Auto mute feature
Twitter can start automatically blocking or muting accounts that spread objectionable content or information. At the Analyst Day presentation on Thursday, the company said it was working on a toggle feature for its users.
When the user keeps this feature on, Twitter will automatically block those accounts that are in violation of Twitter’s rules. When the safety mode of Toggle Name comes up, such accounts will be identified and will be automatically blocked if someone makes a wrong comment, uses harsh language and objectionable content. In addition, such accounts will be limited to up to 7 days from the content associated with the user’s account.
