Vinesh Phogat become the world’s number one player

Team Chabuk-Sports Desk: Vinesh Phogat, considered India’s top female wrestler and contender for the Tokyo Olympics, has again become the world’s number one player. The 26-year-old wrestler made a tremendous jump in the rankings by winning the gold medal in two consecutive international tournaments.

Phogat won the second gold for the second week in a row by winning the Matio Palicon Ranking Wrestling Series. With this, she again regained the number-1 ranking in his weight class. Vinesh was ranked third before entering the tournament, but she won gold medals on Saturday and reached the top.

Significantly, World Championship bronze medalist Vinesh is the only Indian woman wrestler to qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games. She defeated Canada’s Diana Marie Helen Wecker 4–0 in the 53kg final on Saturday in the Rome Ranking Series.

Vinesh scored all her points in the first period and won the gold medal by retaining her lead in the second period. Vinesh had won gold in Kiev last week and this would have given her confidence that her preparations for the Olympics were going well.

Vinesh did not lose a single point in the tournament. she bothered the opponent in two of his three encounters.
