Why did these countries ban the anti-Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccine?

Team Chabuk-National Desk: France, Germany, Italy, Ireland and the Netherlands also imposed temporary bans on vaccine use on Monday. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca and global health officials have claimed that the vaccine is safe.

French President Emmanuel Macron has said that the use of the AstraZeneca Corona virus vaccine is being suspended in France as a precaution. However, he did not elaborate on the reasons for this.

Italy’s drug regulator took precautionary measures on Monday, temporarily banning the use of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine of AstraZeneca. This step has been taken after the news of blood clotting incidents after receiving the vaccine.

Italy said the decision was taken in the wake of steps taken by other European countries. A 57-year-old teacher in the northern Piedmont region of Italy was vaccinated on Saturday and died Sunday morning. In other such cases including this case, the bodies have been sent for examination.

Germany also banned the use of the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine following reports of possible side effects. The government has said that the move was taken in the wake of reports of blood clots in the bodies of vaccinators.

Norway also imposed a ban

Ireland’s health authorities temporarily banned the vaccine on Sunday after serious cases of blood clots surfaced after Norway contracted the anti-Covid-19 vaccine AstraZeneca.

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Ireland, Dr. Ronan Glynn said that according to the Norwegian Medicines Agency, four cases of blood clots in adults were reported after the AstraZeneca vaccine was given, after which steps were taken to stop it.
