22 FIR, 17 private vehicles, 86 policemen have also been injured in demonstration

Team Chabuk : Delhi Police has filed several FIRs in connection with the violence during a tractor rally against the agriculture bill. According to the information so far, a total of 22 FIRs have been filed in different districts.

5 FIRs have been registered in Eastern Range while one FIR has been registered in Najafgarh, Haridas Nagar, Uttam Nagar. Delhi Police (Eastern Range) said that the protesters have damaged eight buses and 17 private vehicles. 86 policemen have also been injured in this demonstration. Cases have been registered in this ruckus like damage to government properties, assault with policemen and looting of weapons.

During the tractor rally, a farmer tried to hit the police with a tractor. The protesters broke down the police buses and vehicles and reached the Red Fort. During this time, the flag at the Red Fort was ‘Nishan Sahib.’ The protesters were so fierce that even the policemen were attacked, after which the police had to flee and save their lives.

According to police, the miscreants have broken 8 DTC buses, 17 public vehicles, 4 containers and more than 300 iron barricades. The United Kisan Morcha separated itself over the violence during the tractor parade. This front is representing 41 farmer unions. There was agreement with the farmers about the tractor rally that the tractor march will not travel towards Delhi. Apart from this, many other terms were formed between the police and the farmers. After the consent was formed, the police had allowed the rally but on Tuesday, several protesters involved in the tractor parade violated the conditions.

On the tractor march, it was said that no more than five people would sit on a tractor, the protesters also violated this condition. The tractor march became so violent that breaking the barricading of the police reached Lala Fort. During this time it has been seen that the protesters are attacking the policemen. When the police fired tear gas shells to control the protesters, the protesters threw stones at the police in response.

Following reports of violence, the United Kisan Morcha stopped the tractor parade and appealed to the people involved in it to immediately return to their protest sites. ‘We have stopped the Republic Day parade of farmers with immediate effect and appealed to all the participants to immediately return to their respective protest sites.’ said a statement issued by the United Kisan Morcha.
