Team Chabuk-National Desk: Regarding corona vaccination, India has become the second country in the world where most people have been vaccinated so far. After the start of the second phase from last March, the rapid pace of vaccination has achieved this goal.
Now America is the first country in the world where so far more than 30 million people have been vaccinated. While 256 million people in India have been vaccinated till Thursday. Apart from these, 1.13 crore people have been vaccinated in Brazil so far, 10 million in Turkey and 94 lakh in the UK.
According to the Ministry of Health, corona vaccination was started in the country from January 16. On March 11, on the 53rd day, 2,56,90,545 people have been vaccinated. These include 67,86,086 people aged 60 or over and those already ill between the ages of 45 and 59.
Apart from these, 71.97 lakh health workers have been given the first dose and 40.13 lakh the second dose. Apart from these, 70.55 lakh have been given the first dose and 6.37 lakh frontline workers have been given the second dose.
According to statistics, 71.23 per cent vaccination has been done in government hospitals. While 28.77 per cent vaccination was done in private hospitals. Apart from these, 0.020 per cent cases of side effects have come to light after vaccination. Only 0.00025 per cent of them have been admitted to the hospital.
Infection possible even after vaccination: Specialists
A British scientist who was badly affected by the corona says that the virus will continue to kill thousands of people for many years to come. An epidemiologist at University College London and a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies, Prof. Andrew Hayward says the flu-like corona deaths will continue despite vaccinations.
Vaccination can reduce the number of deaths but it is difficult to prevent. Prof. Hayward says it is not yet clear how effective the vaccine is and for how long. In winter, the virus can become active again on a large scale, which can lead to the death of people.
Vaccination is not happening so fast in any country of the world that in the coming time 100 percent people will be vaccinated and they will be safe. In such cases, some people, especially sick people, will be affected by the virus and the death toll will continue in the time to come.
