Team Chabuk-National Desk: As soon as the second phase of vaccination against corona virus starts, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the elderly. That is why 32 lakh elderly people have been vaccinated in the last seven days.
While before this, the frontline workers started getting vaccinated from February 3 and now in 33 days, 66 lakh vaccinations have been given. On the other hand, about 50 per cent of the elderly frontline workers reached in seven days.
According to the information, more than 2.09 crore people have been vaccinated in the country till now. Of these, 69.85 lakh health workers have taken the first dose and 35.47 lakh have taken the second dose. While 66.09 lakh front-line workers have taken the vaccine, out of which 2.13 lakh have completed the course by administering two doses.
On the other hand, 32 lakh elderly people aged 60 or above have taken the first dose since last March. if we talk about sick people between the ages of 45 and 59, then 4.80 lakh have taken the first dose.
According to the Ministry of Health, about 30 million registrations have been made in the country so far for the corona vaccine. One crore of these registrations have taken place during the last one week. Vaccines are being administered daily at 30 thousand centers in the country. So far, the participation of women is being seen the most. About 51 per cent of the vaccinators are women.
20-20 lakh vaccines in UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra
According to the information received from the Ministry of Health, more than 21 lakh people in Rajasthan have been vaccinated against corona. While Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra have also joined the list of states that have vaccinated more than 20 lakh people. However in many states it is still necessary to speed up vaccination.
The Pink Booth on Women’s Day
Pink booths were set up across the country on Monday on Women’s Day. Women were given corona vaccine at pink booths set up in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and other states. Meanwhile, former health secretary Preeti Sudan also appealed to the people to have faith in vaccination by taking the first dose of corona vaccine.
India’s first woman vaccinated
On Monday, Savita Kovind, wife of President Ramnath Kovind, also got vaccinated at the MR Hospital in New Delhi. A day earlier, President Ramnath Kovind had also taken the first dose of the vaccine at the same hospital.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, Savita Kovind appealed to the women of the country to protect not only themselves but also their families and the country by getting vaccinated.
