Team Chabuk-Gujarat Desk: In Gujarat, 2,815 new cases of covid-19 came to light on Saturday, the highest number in a single day so far. The total cases of infection in the state have increased to 3,15,563. An official gave this information. The official said that 2,640 cases were reported on Friday, adding that the number of cases of infection in the state has been on the rise for the past few days.
In Gujarat, 14,298 patients are currently undergoing treatment, out of which 161 patients are in critical condition. The first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine was given to 3,71,055 people in the state on Saturday, while 32,624 people over the age of 45 received the second dose, an official release said.
Records found infected in last 24 hours
The country has been battling the Corona virus for more than a year. The pace of the second wave of corona infection is extremely fast, making the situation in the country worse. A record 89,000 new patients have been found in the past 24 hours.
The latest figures released by the health ministry on Saturday have once again raised concerns among the people. With a record increase in the past 24 hours, there have been 89,129 new cases of corona infection and 714 patients have lost their lives to corona. With this, the total number of infections in the country has increased to 1,23,92,260 and the number of deaths due to covid has reached 1,64,110.
