The Congress MLA took off his shirt in the midst of the assembly

Team Chabuk-National Desk: Congress MLA BK Sangamesh was suspended on Thursday for indecent and abusive behavior in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The MLA took off his shirt in the midst of the assembly proceedings during the protest against the cases filed against him. The speaker expressed his displeasure over this and suspended him till 12 March.

According to the information, Congress MLA BK Sangamesh was opposing the FIR lodged against him, his family members and his supporters in the House for organizing an event in Bhadravati. During this, he took off his shirt and waved in front of the speaker during the proceedings. He also shouted slogans with the shirt on his shoulders. After this, Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri erupted.

Kageri also lashed him fiercely. He asked Sangamesh to behave appropriately in the House. His act has insulted the people of Bhadravati. The speaker scolded him and said, “Is this the way of behaving?” Are you on the road Is the house a joke for you? If you oppose anything, then tell it by staying in your place. Your behavior is abusive and irresponsible. The speaker then adjourned the house for 15 minutes.

The speaker resumed action against Sangamesh after the house resumed proceedings. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Basavaraj Bommai proposed before the House to suspend the MLA till March 12, which was accepted by the speaker.

However, Congress leaders strongly opposed this. Later talking to reporters, Sangamesh said that he was not getting justice, so he had to do so.

Sangamesh said, ‘What else should I do? I was not getting justice. I did not do anything wrong like Gundai. I will go and ask why I was suspended. ‘
