Although the Assembly Commissioner Dr. PJ Antony says that there was no ban on singing the national anthem in the assembly. But despite this, there is no order as to why the national anthem was not sung here. This time Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer decided to play the national anthem before the governor’s address and the consent of the government led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio was sought.
After this, on February 12, before the start of the 7th session, the national anthem was played for the first time on the arrival of the Governor and all the MLAs wearing masks stood together and paid their respects.
